Australian Government
- Green Loans
The Green Loans program will assist families to install solar, water saving, and energy efficient products by providing:
•detailed, quality home sustainability assessments
•access to interest free Green Loans of up to $10,000 each to make the changes recommended in the assessment.
- Ceiling insulation funding
The Energy Efficient Homes Package will install ceiling insulation in homes reducing the average household electricity bill by approximately $200.
- Solar Hot Water Rebate
The Solar Hot Water Rebate program offers rebates of $1,600 to help eligible home-owners, landlords or tenants replace their electric storage hot water systems with solar or heat pump hot water systems.
- Renewable Remote Power Generation Program (RRPGP)
RRPGP provides financial support to increase the use of renewable generation in remote parts of Australia that presently rely on fossil fuel for electricity supply.
- Rainwater and Greywater Rebates
Rebates of up to $500 for households to install rainwater tanks or greywater systems.
Hobart City Council
- Solar and Heat Pump Hot Water Rebate
The Solar and Heat Pump Hot Water rebate offers Hobart ratepayers a $500 incentive to install a solar or heat pump hot water system into their homes.
- Energy Efficient Development Rebate
- Insulation Rebate
This rebate provides a one-off rate rebate of 30% of the total cost of the installed insulation - up to a maximum of $300. Landlords installing appropriate ceiling insulation into an uninsulated or poorly insulated rental property built prior to 1991 are eligible.
