Tread Lightly EnvirofestEvent name: Tread Lightly Envirofest Event date/time: 7th Jun 2009 Location: Hobart About this eventThe TreadLightly EnviroFest asks
The TreadLightly EnviroFest encourages Tasmanians to adapt their life style so that they leave as small a footprint as possible on the environment. The festival aims to have something of interest for everyone with artists, exhibitors, information booths, public talks and live performances to raise awareness of sustainable living. Visitor interaction is encouraged at the festival to show how people can practise a healthy, active, socially and ecologically responsible lifestyle. The inaugural festival, held in June last year, attracted more than 5,500 people to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. Jointly organised by the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and the Tasmanian Environment Division, TreadLightly EnviroFest provides opportunities for people to get involved and find out what’s going on in their community.
